A valid state-specific Rehabilitation Specialist license is required.
- RESPONSIBILITIES:
Initiating and administering effective therapy treatments as per physicians' orders, while maintaining regular communication with physicians. - Documenting evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries for patients participating in the rehabilitation program.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to address specific needs of patients and optimize rehabilitation outcomes.
- Contributing to Resident Care Planning meetings and attending in the absence of the Director of Rehabilitation.
- Keeping accurate statistical records of patients' treatments.
- Assisting with in-service training programs upon request.
- Updating and maintaining patients' care plans in the Interdisciplinary Kardex.
- Requesting necessary supplies for patient treatment from the Director of Rehabilitation.
- Assuming all responsibilities of the Director of Rehabilitation during their absence, including supervision of Rehabilitation Aides and ensuring proper documentation.
- REQUIREMENTS:
- Completion of an accredited rehabilitation program is mandatory.
Valid state license to practice rehabilitation therapy is required. - New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Preferred experience of two years in rehabilitation therapy.
Interest in rehabilitation treatment programs for geriatric and subacute populations is essential. Strong leadership skills are necessary.
