Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team in Enumclaw, WA. As a Rehabilitation Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and rehabilitation services to patients, helping them regain mobility, manage pain, and improve their overall quality of life. Your expertise and commitment to personalized therapy programs will make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' functional abilities, limitations, and goals.
- Create personalized treatment plans based on assessments, utilizing various therapeutic techniques and modalities.
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other interventions to improve patients' mobility, strength, flexibility, and overall function based on individual needs.
- Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about therapy procedures, home exercises, and injury prevention techniques.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Stay updated on advancements in physical therapy techniques, technologies, and best practices, integrating them into clinical practice as appropriate.
- Follow up with patients to ensure compliance with their personalized Plan of Care.
- Effectively delegate tasks to support staff, such as Physical Therapy Assistants.
- Promote a collaborative culture based on our service vision.
- Adapt to changes in patient schedules and daily patterns.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- CPR certification and any other relevant certifications required by state regulations.
- Strong clinical skills with experience in orthopedic, neurological, or geriatric physical therapy preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficient computer skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
Physical Requirements:
- Mobility: Ability to move around freely to assist patients and therapists.
- Lifting: Capable of lifting and carrying equipment or assisting patients as needed (up to 50 pounds).
- Standing: Extended periods of standing and walking during therapy sessions.
- Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in handling therapy tools and equipment.
- Visual and Auditory Skills: Ability to observe patients and communicate effectively.
- Flexibility: Adaptability to changing tasks and schedules in a dynamic healthcare environment.
