- Our team of Rehabilitation Specialists play a vital role in ensuring the wellbeing and health of our residents by delivering comprehensive and high-quality therapy services. A valid state-specific license in Physical Therapy is required.
- Make a difference in the lives of our residents by utilizing your skills, experiences, and training as a Rehabilitation Specialist.
Responsibilities:

Initiate skilled physical therapy treatments as per physician's orders; maintain regular communication with physicians.

Keep written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries for residents in the physical therapy program.

Collaborate with other healthcare staff to address the specific needs of residents and enhance their rehabilitation or maintenance of function.

Provide input for Resident Care Planning meetings and attend in the absence of the Director of Physical Therapy.

Maintain accurate statistical records of residents' treatments.

Assist in conducting in-service training programs when requested.

Record and update the resident's plan of care in the Interdisciplinary Kardex.

Submit requisitions for supplies required for resident treatments to the Director of Physical Therapy.

Perform all duties of the Director of Physical Therapy in their absence, including supervision of Physical Therapy Aides and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
Qualifications:

Graduation from an approved school of physical therapy is required.

A valid state license to practice physical therapy is required.

Preferred two years of experience in physical therapy.

Interest in physical therapy treatment programs for geriatric and subacute populations is necessary.

Ability to lead and guide others is essential.
