Responsibilities:

• Measure and document motor function, strength, and muscle performance of patients.
• Assist physical therapists in creating individualized treatment plans.
• Observe patients and generate progress reports.
• Evaluate patients' ability to function independently.
• Aid patients in performing specific exercises.
• Administer various techniques, such as stretching and massage, to assist patients.
• Assist patients in utilizing necessary equipment and devices.
• Educate patients on proper exercise techniques to enhance muscle strength and improve mobility.
• Maintain patient confidentiality by handling confidential information with care.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment.
• Adhere to federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Contribute to team collaboration and productivity.

Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited PTA Program.
• Valid PTA License in the state of New York.
• Prior experience is preferred.
