Responsibilities Include:
- Measure and document motor function, strength, and muscle performance of patients.
- Collaborate with physical therapists to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Observe patients and prepare progress reports accordingly.
- Evaluate patients' ability to perform tasks independently.
- Assist patients in performing specific exercises.
- Administer various techniques, such as stretching and massage, to treat patients.
- Assist patients in using necessary equipment and devices.
- Educate patients on proper exercise techniques to enhance muscle strength and improve mobility.
- Maintain patient confidentiality by handling sensitive information securely.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
- Contribute to the overall team effort.
Requirements Include:
- Graduation from an accredited PTA Program.
- Valid and active PTA License in the state of New York.
- Prior experience is advantageous.
