Responsibilities:
- Accurately assess and document motor function, strength, and muscle performance of patients.
- Collaborate with physical therapists in creating tailored treatment plans.
- Observe patients and compile detailed progress reports.
- Evaluate patients' ability to function independently.
- Assist patients in performing specific exercises.
- Implement various techniques, such as stretching and massage, for effective patient treatment.
- Provide guidance to patients on the proper use of equipment and devices.
- Educate patients on appropriate exercises to strengthen muscles and improve mobility.
- Maintain patient confidentiality by securely handling sensitive information.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve common goals.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program.
- Hold a valid license as a Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant in the state of New York.
- Prior experience in the field is advantageous.
