Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA - Full Time

A licensed professional is needed for the role of Physical Therapist Assistant. This individual will be responsible for implementing care and interventions to improve patients' mobility, providing exercise instruction, showing empathy, and documenting treatment outcomes. They will work alongside physical therapists to enhance patients' physical abilities and overall well-being.


The Physical Therapist Assistant's primary role is to deliver high-quality care and help patients reach their maximum functional level. This includes applying knowledge and expertise in caring for both orthopedic and neurological patients.

The Physical Therapist Assistant will aid patients in adhering to their treatment plans and engage in therapeutic activities, such as administering manual physical exercises, providing instruction and assistance with non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities. They will also apply assistive and supportive care. The PTA will assess and interpret evaluations and test results, determine appropriate physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians, and document patient care services in compliance with legal and professional requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting follow-up visits for home health orthopedic patients
  • Maintaining eligibility requirements for home health services
  • Assisting patients in using supportive devices like crutches, canes, and prostheses
  • Providing instruction and counseling to patients, including therapeutic regimens, information on normal growth and development, and promoting wellness and health maintenance
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, regulations, and infection-control policies
  • Monitoring current treatment trends and ensuring that physical therapy services align with production objectives
  • Driving is a requirement of this position

  • Completion of an accredited Assistant Therapy Assistant Program
  • In-state licensure is mandatory
  • Minimum of 1 year of home health experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a caring demeanor are essential
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
