Description:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to assist patients in executing their treatment plans and engaging in therapeutic activities. This involves administering manual physical exercises, providing instruction, encouragement, and assistance with non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily living tasks. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing assistive and supportive care of the highest quality. You will play a key role in assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results, working in consultation with physicians to determine appropriate physical therapy treatment plans. Documenting patient care services by charting in patient and department records will be of utmost importance, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements. To accomplish this, you will need to stay up-to-date on existing and new legislation, anticipate future legislation, enforce adherence to requirements, and advise management on necessary actions. Your duties will include:

• Performing follow-up visits for home health patients
• Maintaining eligibility requirements for home health services
• Providing maintenance therapy
• Driving as needed for the job

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program

• Hold a valid California state licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a home health setting

• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and genuine care for others

• Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
