• Willingness to float between 3 nearby client locations (Elmira, Bath, etc.)

• Experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings preferred

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans for patients.

• Perform therapeutic procedures including gait training, exercise, soft tissue mobilization, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and traction.

• Educate patients on proper equipment use (crutches, braces, etc.).

• Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams.

• Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

• Participate in safety protocols and infection control standards.

• Mentor and guide therapy aides or support staff when needed.

• Assist with equipment care, inventory, and departmental policies.

Requirements:

• Licensed (or eligible) Physical Therapist in NYS

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days

• Experience in hospital or clinical settings is a plus

• Ability to lift 30–150 lbs (with or without assistance)

• Must be able to work across multiple sites as part of a float team
