- This position will be specifically staffed in the REHAB unit.

Location: Lake Placid, NY (Home of the 1980 Winter Olympics)
- Comprehensive and quality therapy services are provided by physical therapy staff members to ensure the health and well-being of residents.
- A valid Physical Therapy license specific to the state is required.
Responsibilities:

Implement physician-ordered skilled physical therapy treatments and maintain necessary communication with the physician.

Create written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries for residents in the physical therapy program.

Collaborate with other healthcare staff to address the special needs of residents and enhance rehabilitation or maintenance of function.

Provide input for Resident Care Planning meetings and attend in the absence of the Director of Physical Therapy.

Keep statistical records of residents' treatments.

Assist with in-service training programs as requested.

Record and update residents' plan of care in the Inter-disciplinary Kardex.

Submit requisitions for supplies required in the treatment of residents to the Director of Physical Therapy.

Assume all duties of the Director of Physical Therapy during absences, including supervision of Physical Therapy Aides and necessary documentation responsibilities.
Qualifications:

Graduation from an approved school of physical therapy is required.

A valid state license to practice physical therapy is required.
- Recent graduates of physical therapy programs are welcome to apply.

Preference for candidates with at least two years of experience in physical therapy.

Interest in providing physical therapy treatment to the geriatric and subacute populations is necessary.

Strong leadership skills are required.
