  1. As a member of our physical therapy staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of residents by delivering comprehensive and high-quality therapy services. A valid state-specific Physical Therapy license is required for this position.
  2. Apply your expertise and experiences in physical therapy to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Commence skilled physical therapy treatments as per physician’s orders; maintain regular communication with physicians.

  • Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries for residents participating in the physical therapy program.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare staff to address the specific needs of residents and enhance rehabilitation or maintenance of function.

  • Contribute to Resident Care Planning meetings and attend in the absence of the Director of Physical Therapy.

  • Maintain statistical records of residents’ treatments.

  • Assist in conducting in-service training programs upon request.

  • Record and update residents' plan of care in the Inter-disciplinary Kardex.

  • Submit requisitions for supplies required in the treatment of residents to the Director of Physical Therapy.

  • Assume all duties of the Director of Physical Therapy during absences, including supervision of Physical Therapy Aides and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an approved school of physical therapy is required.
  • A valid state license to practice physical therapy must be held.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with at least two years of experience in physical therapy.
  • Interest in developing and implementing physical therapy treatment programs for the geriatric and subacute populations is necessary.
  • Ability to provide guidance and direction to others is essential.
