    Prior experience in Skilled Nursing is advantageous.

  • Implement skilled physical therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians; maintain regular communication with physicians.

  • Create and update written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries for residents in the physical therapy program.

  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to meet the special needs of residents and enhance their rehabilitation or functional maintenance.

  • Provide input for Resident Care Planning meetings and attend such meetings in the absence of the Director of Physical Therapy.

  • Maintain accurate statistical records of residents' treatments.

  • Assist in conducting in-service training programs upon request.

  • Record and update residents' care plans.

  • Submit supply requisitions for the treatment of residents to the Director of Physical Therapy.

  • Assume all responsibilities of the Director of Physical Therapy during their absence, including supervision of Physical Therapy Aides and necessary documentation.


  • Graduation from an accredited school of physical therapy is required.
  • Must hold a valid state license to practice physical therapy.
  • New Physical Therapy Graduates are encouraged to apply, especially those with experience in geriatric care.
  • Preferred two years of experience in physical therapy.
  • Interest in physical therapy treatment programs for the geriatric and subacute populations is essential.
  • Ability to supervise and lead others is necessary.
