The main responsibilities of the Foreman(Pile) include supervising the construction projects related to structures, overseeing the field crew and subcontractors, and ensuring the timely and safe completion of all projects with the highest quality of workmanship.

• Maintaining a strong dedication to safety by setting an example, providing education, and enforcing safe work practices and company policies and procedures.
• Utilizing the appropriate crew size and equipment based on estimates to achieve cost-effective production.
• Scheduling materials promptly to avoid any disruptions to work activities.
• Participating in weekly look-ahead schedule meetings and relying on the schedule as a tool to effectively finish the work.
• Understanding budgets and costs as estimated, and using this knowledge to carry out the project.
• Comprehending the contract drawings and specifications and using them to construct the project.
• Completing one work activity entirely before moving on to another and keeping the work area clean and organized.
• Identifying and documenting any additional extra work and notifying the supervisor accordingly.
• Taking proper care of company-owned equipment, including pick-up trucks and small tools.
• Managing the use of outside rental equipment to minimize costs incurred outside the company.
• Maintaining and submitting daily paperwork in an organized and timely manner, such as timesheets, material tickets, truck tickets, force account information, and daily diary entries.
• Collaborating effectively with other foremen and employees.
• Analyzing work activities for potential safety concerns, such as fall protection, manlift operations, and excavation support.
• Instructing all crew members on the proper use of safety equipment, such as hard hats and lanyards.
• Ensuring the availability and usage of proper safety equipment by all field personnel.
• Maintaining effective communication with customers to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
• Coordinating work and goals with contractors or sub-contractors.
• Performing other duties as assigned or as the situation requires.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Foreman, with a specific requirement for Pile Driving experience.
• Extensive knowledge of all aspects of bridge construction, including structural concrete, concrete forming, placement, and finishing.
• Experience in managing teams of 4 or more employees.
• Ability to read and understand project-specific documents, such as schedules, plans, and specifications.
• Capability to oversee the work of others and effectively communicate instructions to the crew.
• Thorough understanding of the occupational hazards and safety precautions related to the work being performed.
• Ability to comprehend and execute instructions accurately.
• Proficiency in record-keeping and preparation of production reports, timesheets, equipment logs, inspection reports, change orders, and project file updates.
• Capability to perform additional administrative and project-based duties as assigned.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.
