Piping Designer (clean process industries)

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Piping Designer to support industrial building and facility projects, with a focus on life sciences, biotech, and pharmaceutical environments. This full-time role is based onsite at a client location in Boulder, CO. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing construction documents and detailed layouts for clean piping systems in technically complex environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop piping layout drawings and detailed construction documents for facility and utility systems

• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to align with project goals and timelines

• Ensure all drawings and designs comply with project specifications and industry standards

• Contribute to coordination efforts and clash detection using 3D modeling tools

What You Bring

Required:

• AAS degree in Computer Aided Drafting or equivalent work experience

• 5–15 years of experience in piping design

• Background in clean process industries such as pharmaceutical, biotech, food, beverage, or dairy

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or within multidisciplinary teams

Preferred Tools/Knowledge:

• AutoCAD

• Plant 3D

• Navisworks

• Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)

• Bluebeam

• Basic understanding of engineering design concepts
