We have an exciting opportunity at our Chattanooga, TN plant for an Assistant Plant Financial Manager. Our client is a global automotive supplier with a strong presence in the industry. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations and driving profitability.
The Assistant Plant Financial Manager will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the plant, including budgeting, cost analysis, financial reporting, and compliance. You will collaborate closely with plant management to optimize operations and achieve financial goals.
Key responsibilities of the Assistant Plant Financial Manager include:

Financial Reporting:You will prepare and analyze comprehensive financial statements to monitor performance against budget and identify areas for improvement. This includes income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Budgeting and Forecasting:You will develop and manage the plant's annual budget, forecast future financial performance, and provide regular updates to plant leadership.

Cost Analysis:You will analyze production costs, material consumption, labor expenses, and overhead to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.

Inventory Management:You will monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to ensure accuracy and maintain optimal stock levels.

Internal Controls:You will implement and maintain robust internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP) and safeguard company assets.

Compliance:You will ensure adherence to all relevant financial reporting and tax compliance regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.

Audit Support:You will collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.

Team Leadership:You will lead and supervise a team of accounting professionals, including payroll and accounts payable/receivable functions.
