Overview:

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing our company's environmental programs and policies at our site. Your main tasks will include ensuring compliance with government and environmental regulations set by the EPA, conducting employee training, handling emergencies and incident investigations, and providing technical guidance on environmental issues for operations and equipment. Additionally, you will be responsible for completing all necessary federal, state, and local government reports.

• You will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for our plant team members on environmental and regulatory matters. Your expertise will be invaluable in incident investigations and root cause failure analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field of study is required.
• At least 4 years of work experience analyzing environmental regulations in mining, construction, manufacturing, or related fields is preferred.
• Experience with Title V air permitting is necessary.
• Familiarity with consent decrees is highly desired.
• Strong leadership skills and proven effectiveness in promoting a strong safety culture and environmental compliance are a must for this role. You should demonstrate the ability to support operations and maintenance teams, work collaboratively to find solutions to problems, and possess a detailed knowledge and understanding of environmental regulations and permits, including but not limited to CAA, CWA, RCRA, DOT, EPCRA, and TRI.
• EPA Opacity Reading certification, DOT Certification, HAZWOPER certification, and ISO 14001 are considered advantageous.
