PLANT FINANCE SPECIALIST / Remote-Friendly Opportunity

Salary: $67,800.00-$93,200.00 (Plus Bonus) + Comprehensive Benefits Package

The main objective of the Plant Finance Specialist is to oversee monthly closings, perform analysis, and reconcile accounts for a medium-sized plant, two smaller plants, or a large plant with multiple accountants. This role involves analyzing results, preparing forecasts for plant and business divisions, managing capital and technical project accounting, developing standard costs and budgets, and actively participating in process improvement initiatives.

Your Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive financial support to plant management
  • Track and document project expenses and capital expenditures in detail
  • Prepare monthly forecasts and annual operating plans
  • Review, analyze, and approve facility maintenance spending
  • Facilitate month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Assist in the development of Bill of Materials (BOMs), routings, and standards
  • Collaborate in the creation of the plant's financial operating plan
  • Analyze and prepare reports on monthly updates and project progress
  • Work closely with the IT team to address system issues
  • Reconcile related general ledger accounts
  • Develop and enhance financial processes and procedures for plant operations
  • Conduct financial and strategic analyses to inform accurate business decisions and potential investments
  • Identify and drive cost reduction and working capital improvement opportunities
  • Oversee plant procurement activities
  • Perform any other assigned duties as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years of finance or accounting experience
  • Proficiency in cost accounting (standard costing), budgeting, forecasting, month-end and year-end close activities, and inventory management
  • Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel (including formulas, V-Lookups, and Pivot tables), PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Working knowledge of SAP or ERP systems (preferred)
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels internally and externally
  • Moderate travel required (11 - 29 days per year)
  • Work environment typical of an office setting
