Plant Manager

The role of Director of Operations:

  • Accountable for achieving plant performance goals aligned with Strategic Business Area objectives, including product supply, manufacturing variances, safety, quality, sustainability, cost center budgets, and capital project management
  • Drive the implementation and progress of Continuous Improvement Programs
  • Promote the development and enhancement of company Culture and employee engagement throughout the organization
  • Manage the customer-supplier relationships with corporate services, marketing, research and development, engineering, and external suppliers and vendors
  • Oversee the staffing and professional growth of plant leaders, while cultivating a high-performance work culture and systems
  • Create the plant vision and master plan, capital budget, expense budget, and other strategic plans
  • Foster positive community relations, maintain compliance with regulations, and maintain a strong relationship with local city representatives
  • Lead Safety Key Element 1 and maintain exemplary safety standards across the organization

Qualifications we seek:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Achievement of a Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in implementing High Performing Work Systems, such as Continuous Improvement, TPM, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Demonstrated success in leading, coaching, and managing leaders

Additional skills and experience that we believe can contribute to success in this role:

  • Prior experience as a Plant Manager
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, PC, OSHA, FDA, and USDA regulations
