Plant Operations Manager

Plant Manager Job Summary:
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations at the facility. They are in charge of managing the manufacturing processes to efficiently produce high-quality products, meet delivery deadlines, and stay within budget. The role requires someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and consistently deliver excellent results.
Plant Manager Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure that delivery, quality, and cost targets are met.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.
- Provide management staff with reports on labor efficiency and machine utilization.
- Conduct performance evaluations for the Production Supervisor position.
- Maintain compliance with production, quality, and safety standards.
- Oversee general 5S housekeeping activities and maintain a safe work environment.
- Implement corrective actions, such as 8D problem-solving, to address downtime and issues.
- Resolve problems and conflicts proactively.
- Actively participate in various meetings and adopt a positive management approach.
- Direct and supervise Team Leaders and production Team Members to meet schedules.
- Ensure adherence to safe work practices and manage plant emergencies.
- Train and develop supervisors, Team Leaders, and Technicians.
- Ensure strict adherence to Quality Control standards and promote company reputation as a quality producer.
- Communicate effectively with employees and promote understanding.
- Build and maintain trust and integrity with all employees.
- Analyze production to identify areas for improvement and increase plant profitability.
- Comply with all Company Safety policies, procedures, and rules.
Plant Manager Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Recent experience in an Automotive Manufacturing plant is necessary.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to achieve results through others.
- Detailed knowledge of financial and budgetary controls.
- High level of professionalism, organizational skills, tact, and diplomacy.
- Ability to motivate and delegate authority to subordinates.
- Thorough understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with New Program Launches is essential.
