Network Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Charleston, SC

We are searching for an experienced Network Infrastructure Engineer to oversee the IT infrastructure at our two facilities as a leading North American manufacturing company. Situated in Charleston, SC, this role is crucial in ensuring the secure and reliable operation of our manufacturing systems.

If you possess in-depth knowledge of Windows, Active Directory, and VMware, and have a passion for collaborating with Operations and Engineering teams to enhance processes, we want you to join our team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer virtual and physical servers, with a specific focus on VMware running Windows servers.
• Oversee plant environment security, backup, and recovery through Active Directory management.
• Collaborate with the Information Security team to fortify system defenses against potential threats.
• Supervise Thin Manager, Thin Clients, and operator stations.
• Implement engineering team prescribed changes while adhering to established IT change management protocols.
• Resolve system issues and liaise with vendors when necessary.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to fellow IT colleagues in systems administration and troubleshooting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or any related field.
• 4-7 years of IT experience, preferably within the industrial manufacturing sector.
• Extensive familiarity with Windows, Active Directory, and VMware environments.
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills and capacity to work collaboratively.
• Preferred experience with Cisco Nexus, Siemens Industrial network equipment, VSAN, VMware 7, Veeam, and FortiGate firewalls.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
