Printing Solutions Supervisor (job description)
We are collaborating with a leading Global Packaging and Printing Company to find a highly skilled Printing Solutions Supervisor in the vicinity of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Required Qualifications:
• 5-10 Years of experience in a Leadership position in the Manufacturing industry, with preference given to those with experience in Printing, Packaging, or Automation.
• Possession of a Bachelor's Degree (or an Associate's Degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience)
• Must be a US Citizen
Position Details:
• Accountable for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Printing Department, including maintaining safety standards, ensuring high product quality, reducing material waste, and managing labor resources.
• Actively involved in strategic planning, budget development, capital investment decisions, and fostering organizational development initiatives.
• Primary Responsibilities: Take full operational responsibility for the Printing Department.
• Direct and lead the Printing Department in order to achieve organizational objectives.
• Develop and manage the department's operating budget, capital spending, strategic planning, and inventory control.
• Ensure effective management of the department's budget.
• Supervise Managers and other staff members in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Oversee and implement safety initiatives to ensure a secure work environment.
• Ensure that quality standards are consistently met.
• Participate in the Preventative and Corrective Action Process.
• Be actively involved in Research and Development activities.
• Create a culture that encourages participation, innovation, and process improvement. Foster teamwork and a strong commitment to excellence.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Promote a culture of transparency, honesty, and integrity through effective employee relations practices and communication strategies.
Key Performance Indicators:
• Spoilage Rate
• Labor Efficiency
• Safety Reports
• Operating Budget Compliance
• Customer Complaint Numbers (Target: internal / external)
• Inventory Accuracy (target: above 99%)
• Review each of the above metrics regularly (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) and develop action plans for improvement moving forward.
