Process Manager – Tier 1 Plastic Auto Parts Manufacturer – 2nd & 3rd shift

Location: Clayton, OH
The position of Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing production, customer service, and quality in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. The Shift Supervisor's main role is to monitor and enhance the manufacturing and engineering processes for the injection mold machine. They are responsible for managing all aspects of the injection molding process, including setting up, operating, and repairing tools, equipment, and materials. The primary duties include preparing and producing injection-molded components to meet specifications and ensuring their quality. Any issues that arise during production or products that do not meet standards must be resolved by the Shift Supervisor and escalated to engineers and QA technicians if necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: High school diploma is required. Preferably, an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Plastics Engineering. Knowledge of scientific molding principles is preferred.

Experience: At least five years of hands-on experience in Injection Molding, Mold/Machine Set-Up, Process Development, and Troubleshooting. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory position or demonstrated progression in leadership roles. The ideal candidate must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with management, staff, suppliers, and customers. Proficiency in using window-based personal computers and related software is necessary.
Knowledge/Skills: Familiarity with ISO 9001/IATF 16949 or similar QMS systems is essential. Experience in SPC, design of experiments, and capability studies is desired. The ability to work independently is also important.
