The company utilizes industry-specific, web-based engineering software that automates the entire sales applications engineering process. Through this software, customers can input their data on the website, and quotes, proposals, and follow-ups are then automatically generated. The Sales Application Engineers can focus on providing the best product recommendations to customers. The software also enables potential customers to receive quotes and proposals in as little as fifteen minutes. Travel is not required for this position. The primary responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Overseeing and mentoring the sales applications engineering staff.
  • Engaging with customers via telephone, representing approximately 30% of the time (around twenty to twenty-five calls daily).
  • Handling inquiries regarding Requests For Quotes.
  • Leading meetings with the sales applications engineering team.
  • Assisting customers with their queries and needs.
  • Reviewing engineering drawings and customer quotes.
  • Applying technical engineering knowledge to the company's products.
  • Investigating customer needs and providing effective problem-solving solutions.
  • Analyzing and suggesting appropriate alternative proposals to the company's sales professionals.


The ideal candidate would have experience with combustion. The successful candidate must have the following background:

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a managerial role.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
  • The ability to enjoy engaging with customers over the phone.
  • A strong mechanical aptitude.
  • At least 2 years of experience in industrial sales applications.
  • A stable work history with no short-term employment of less than three years in duration.
  • Being a US citizen or a green card holder.
  • Residing within a 45-minute commute from the job location.
