Job Title: Product Development Coordinator
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Compensation: $65,000 - $85,000
Summary of the Product Development Coordinator Role: The Product Development Coordinator (PDC) is responsible for managing the entire life cycle of core product lines. This includes making decisions regarding product extension or discontinuation and driving the development of new products to address market needs. The PDC's main focus is on meeting customer needs and utilizing market opportunities to maximize company profitability. They collaborate with various departments to ensure successful product launches and sustained market performance by staying up-to-date with customer problems, market trends, and competition.

Qualifications for the Product Development Coordinator:
o Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field or equivalent work experience.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
o Exceptional presentation, customer interaction, and project management skills.
o Strong analytical abilities, including interpreting data, applying financial concepts, and making data-driven decisions.
o Experience in interpreting technical documents and conducting market research.
o Willingness to travel within the Americas for market-related purposes.
o May be required to travel internationally.
Responsibilities of the Product Development Coordinator:
o Oversee the life cycle of core products, identifying opportunities for line extension and obsolescence.
o Enhance product line profitability through strategic pricing and the development of new revenue streams.
o Conduct market research and customer interviews to identify unmet needs and transform them into actionable product requirements.
o Communicate market problems and expectations to guide the engineering team in developing solutions that cater to market demands.
o Collaborate with the engineering team and other Product Development Coordinators to create and maintain a roadmap aligned with company objectives.
o Gain insight into relevant markets, including customer needs, product applications, and competitor offerings.
o Work closely with Market Development Managers to effectively position products in the market, including crafting key messages, defining benefits, and identifying target customers.
o Partner with marketing communications to develop go-to-market strategies, sales materials, and promotional content.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, production, and supply chain, to ensure successful product launches and ongoing support.
o Conduct beta and pilot programs for early-stage products, gathering feedback for further improvement.
o Manage product pricing, descriptions, and configurations in internal systems (e.g., SAP).
o Provide initial product training to internal teams.
o Support internal teams by addressing additional product training needs and collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop and enhance training materials as required.
o Contribute to quality initiatives by ensuring product excellence, maintaining standards, and driving continuous improvement.
