A reputable manufacturing company in New York, NY is seeking a qualified Production Coordinator to join their team. As a Production Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient production process, from sourcing raw materials to delivering finished products. Working closely with various teams and departments, you will be responsible for meeting deadlines, maintaining quality standards, and managing costs.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials, trims, and accessories.
  • Monitor production schedules and closely cooperate with the production team to ensure timely completion of orders.
  • Track and provide progress reports on production to relevant departments.
  • Identify and communicate potential issues that may affect production timelines.
  • Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that products meet rigorous quality standards.
  • Coordinate logistical aspects and shipping for finished products.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Contribute to implementing cost control measures to ensure profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in production coordination within the apparel industry, with a focus on children's products being a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Availability to work in the office 5 days per week.
