Production Manager – 3rd shift

Location: Goldsboro, NC

REQUIREMENTS: A strong preference is given to candidates with a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in supervising and managing poultry production, although a significant targeted experience may be considered in place of a degree.

  • Poultry processing experience is a requirement.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and excellent communication abilities are necessary.
  • Capable of meeting deadlines and working efficiently under pressure.
  • Ability to handle multiple and potentially conflicting priorities.


  • Efficiently organizes and oversees daily operational needs to consistently meet customer expectations through active involvement on the production floor.
  • Supervises the implementation of employee development programs to ensure the company's needs are met in terms of employee knowledge, training, and growth.
  • Directly manages production supervisors, monitors team leads, and hourly employees. Provides guidance to direct reports on appropriate disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, and effective communication with hourly associates.
  • Establishes clear expectations, tracks outcomes, and ensures accountability.
  • Monitors staffing requirements to align with company objectives.
  • Maintains a positive and engaging environment to maximize employee involvement through department meetings, an open-door policy, team-building activities, and empowerment.
  • Acts as the advocate and promoter of company-wide safety programs and initiatives.
