Manager of Molding Operations

Summary of Role: As the Manager of Molding Operations, your responsibility is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Molding, Finishing, Assembly, and Inventory Management departments. Your objective is to lead the team in achieving goals related to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity, promoting a spirit of teamwork.

Main Responsibilities:

Efficiently assign and prioritize work schedules.

Genuine enthusiasm while mentoring and coaching employees for improved performance.

Innovatively examine processes to optimize resource utilization.

Ensure adherence to daily production schedules and timely product and service delivery.

Energize the operational processes by driving capacity and productivity improvements.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall operations.

Guide the team in achieving a higher First Pass Yield (FPY).

Analyze production costs to identify areas for improvement and consistently reduce scrap year over year, promoting efficiency.

Maintain inventory accuracy and compliance with inventory management procedures.

Oversee tooling maintenance and ensure timely equipment calibration.

Create and manage the department's budget, making financial management exciting.

Apply performance management policies consistently, converting challenges into growth opportunities.

Ensure completion of employees' training and focus on continuous development.

Passionately coach and develop the next level of operations/production management and staff.

Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with ISO codes of practice.

Uphold the company's Quality Vision Policy and maintain enthusiasm among team members.

Proactively enforce rules and workplace policies with a dynamic approach.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Field, or Business Management.

· Prior experience in Molding is a MUST!

· Demonstrate a passion for process improvements and efficiency.

· Combine formal training and experience in lean practices, operations management, and business acumen.

· Possess strong leadership and organizational skills with a dynamic approach.

· Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, presentation).

· Display a systematic understanding and data comprehension with a forward-thinking mindset.

· Make independent and sound decisions with a proactive and energetic approach.

· Apply excellent problem-solving skills with a creative and dynamic perspective and maintain a result-driven approach focused on achieving goals.
