Production Supervisor, Swing Shift
SWING SHIFT PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR - Food Manufacturing, Silverton, OR Area
Bilingual Spanish/English, On-Site
Summary:
Oversees and manages the activities of production workers on the swing shift. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes for different products. Responsibilities include ensuring adequate training for production staff and maintaining accurate production and inventory records.
Primary Responsibilities:
Leadership
·Coach and develop direct reports and other leaders.
·Implement systems and process improvement through other teams.
·Contribute to problem-solving efforts in interdisciplinary teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
·Gain complete understanding of all production processes required for each product.
·Ensure compliance with HACCP program requirements.
·Provide training to line workers on production processes as needed.
·Maintain and prepare required reports and records.
·Complete daily timesheets and schedule time off for employees.
·Generate daily production reports.
·Ensure employees comply with company policies and work rules.
·Maintain accurate and organized records.
·Proficient in PC skills, including Word and Excel.
·Ensure team is trained and compliant with regulations.
Process Controls/Continuous Improvement
·Lead and coach other leaders in effective use of Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
·Implement a stringent non-conformance & corrective action follow-up process.
Skills, Requirements, and Minimum Education Level
·Previous supervisory experience in food manufacturing, ideally in the bakery or frozen foods sector.
·Associate's Degree preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
·Entrepreneurial mindset, able to thrive in uncertain and high-pressure environments.
·Passionate about problem-solving and relentless in finding solutions.
·Deadline-oriented with excellent organizational and prioritization skills.

Work Environment
We maintain a business casual environment. Professional attire is expected during external meetings. The production area is dynamic, with multiple moving parts and conveyor belts. The ability to navigate obstacles is essential. The job requires regular walking and verbal communication. Standing, manual dexterity, and reaching are frequently necessary. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be required.
Physical Demands
Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
Able to lift objects weighing 30+ lbs.
Salary
Annual salary range: $65,000 to $80,000
