Project Engineer

Engineering Project Coordinator

Our client, a rapidly expanding organization in the industry, is seeking an Engineering Project Coordinator. They have a strong commitment to Engineering excellence and Quality, which has resulted in significant growth in the global marketplace. In this role, you will be responsible for managing capital projects related to new processes, equipment installation, and continuous improvement in the packaging and manufacturing efforts. These projects will vary in complexity and scope, with a focus on timely delivery and optimization. You will report to the Director of Engineering for the facility.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of capital projects using established engineering project management processes and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with industry best practices, regulations, and company engineering standards
  • Spearhead the successful completion of all project phases, including scope, budget, execution, and delivery
  • Manage and coordinate internal and external resources throughout the duration of the project
  • Cultivate effective communication and relationships with all stakeholders throughout the project
  • Provide technical solutions, design support, and troubleshooting assistance to operations
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects, providing the necessary justifications and return on investment
  • Develop expertise in new systems to train and mentor plant engineers and maintenance staff, ensuring knowledge transfer and documentation
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a flexible approach to changing priorities
  • Propose and implement work processes, procedures, and technical resources in alignment with the Engineering Policy


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering
  • 5-15 years of project engineering or management experience in a high-paced manufacturing setting, preferably in the Food or Pharma industry
  • Extensive experience in capital project management, utilizing established standards and protocols for initiation, planning, and execution
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Microsoft Project, and CAD software for system design and layout editing
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, P&ID, construction drawings, and other technical documents
  • Preferred experience in a beverage, aseptic, and/or food manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of financial analysis, relevant business KPIs, and CAPEX budgeting and preparation
