Project Engineer (DOT - Heavy Civil)

🏗️ Large Infrastructure Projects | Field Engineering | DOT Experience Required

✅ Must-Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

• 1–3 years of experience in DOT or similar infrastructure projects

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, BlueBeam, and CAD

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple project components

• Familiarity with P6 (Primavera) and HCSS a plus

• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills

🔍 About the Role:

We’re hiring a Project Engineer to join our growing team and support field construction efforts on major infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, collaborates well with field and office teams, and is driven to ensure projects are executed on time, on budget, and with top-tier quality.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

• Review and prepare project submittals and RFIs for owner approval

• Analyze drawings and specifications, working with the PM and team to identify critical requirements and design updates

• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure work is delivered safely, on time, and to quality standards

• Track progress, quantities, and cost projections for accurate reporting and payment

• Help develop and update CPM schedules weekly, refining activity durations and sequencing

• Assist with temporary works design including shoring, formwork, and support structures

• Manage procurement and timely delivery of permanent materials

• Ensure compliance with all project documentation and submit certifications for QA/QC review

• Review and maintain shop drawings, as-builts, and project documentation for accuracy

• Develop and support safe and efficient work plans for construction activities
