✅ MUST HAVES:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Required)

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with NCDOT or SCDOT projects (Required)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, BlueBeam, and CAD

• Familiarity with project software tools like P6 and HCSS is a plus

• Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and teamwork skills

• Valid Driver’s License & clean driving record

Our client, a top-tier heavy civil contractor, is looking for a Project Engineer to support major infrastructure projects across the Carolinas. You’ll be a key player in ensuring project success—from field coordination and cost tracking to materials procurement and schedule development.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit RFIs, submittals, certifications, and documentation for quality control

• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and field conditions

• Coordinate subcontractors to maintain high safety and quality standards

• Track material quantities for cost control and progress payments

• Assist with CPM scheduling, including sequencing and duration analysis

• Support the design of temporary works such as formwork, falsework, and shoring

• Oversee material procurement and delivery to align with project schedules

• Develop and review shop drawings, as-builts, and contract documents

• Contribute to the planning of safe, efficient field execution strategies

✈️ Travel Requirements

• Local project travel during business hours is expected

• Occasional overnight and out-of-area travel may be required
