Project Engineering Manager EI&C

Position Summary:

We are seeking an Engineering Project Manager to oversee and provide technical guidance to our EI&C engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of electrical, instrumentation, and controls engineering projects within the NCA region. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, project engineers, and project managers to ensure the successful execution of capital projects. Extensive travel may be required for project assignments.

  • Manage a team of Engineers responsible for project scope development and execution approach for EI&C engineering.
  • Conduct or support safety, quality, and regulatory reviews for projects.
  • Assist in the development of project cost estimates and budget management.
  • Create project execution strategies and schedules.
  • Develop EI&C deliverables.
  • Collaborate with other discipline project engineers.
  • Coordinate with third-party contractors, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Monitor project progress and compile project reports.
  • Manage changes in scope and priorities during project execution.
  • Ensure safe and regulatory-compliant project execution.
  • Compile and provide project as-built documentation.
  • Support the development of specifications, standards, and codes.
  • Collaborate with various departments to achieve optimal results.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in chemical or electrical engineering.
  • 8-13 years of combined professional experience in project management, project engineering, and plant maintenance.
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering supervisory experience.
  • Experience in the chemical industry or oil & gas operations/maintenance is a plus.
  • Competence in EI&C project management activities such as scope development, cost estimates, and vendor evaluation.
  • Experience and knowledge in Power Distribution for Medium Voltage and Low Voltage, instrumentation, and controls.
  • Experience in E&I construction documentation.
  • Thorough understanding of engineering principles, relevant codes, and construction practices.
  • Ability to work well under schedule and cost pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.
  • Professional Engineer registration in Tennessee is desired.
