Project Finance Associate
A prestigious, nationally known legal organization is seeking highly talented and motivated Project Funding Specialists with 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy transactions to join their Finance Practice Group in the thriving Energy Sector. This opportunity is available in several key locations, including Houston, Los Angeles, Madison, Milwaukee, New York, or Washington, DC. Joining this team means contributing to groundbreaking renewable energy projects in a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Designing, composing, and negotiating complex transactional documents, such as credit agreements, tax equity documents, and related project finance agreements.
- Performing extensive due diligence for renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance and identifying potential risks across various aspects of the deals.
- Cooperating with experts in the field to oversee examination of project documents and successfully finalize transactions.
- Advising clients on tax credit transactions and renewable energy finance strategies, with a focus on innovative and effective solutions.
- Supporting the development of long-term goals for the firm’s expanding Energy Sector by increasing its presence in renewable energy markets.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is a proficient attorney experienced in transactional work, who thrives in a fast-paced, client-oriented setting and is passionate about renewable energy. Required qualifications include:
- 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy project finance and/or tax credit transactions, with significant involvement in due diligence and intricate deal structures.
- Proven expertise in drafting and negotiating transactional documents, particularly financing and tax-related agreements.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling effective interactions with clients, partners, and team members.
- A JD from an ABA-accredited law school with good standing in a state Bar. Timely admission to the Bar of the hiring office’s jurisdiction is required.
