Project Manager- Bridges
Heavy Civil Project Manager (Bridges)
Position Overview:
As a Heavy Civil Project Manager (Bridges), you will report directly to the Vice President of Operations and take ownership of key bridge and infrastructure projects. You will manage all phases of construction, lead multidisciplinary teams, and serve as the primary liaison with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage multiple bridge and structural projects tied to state roadway and highway developments.

Prepare and deliver professional reports, presentations, and project correspondence for internal and external stakeholders.

Coordinate project schedules and lead cross-functional teams across engineering, construction, and administrative roles.

Ensure compliance with Federal and State funding guidelines, including review and approval processes for bridge projects.

Represent the company in client meetings and on-site with subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.

Negotiate scope modifications with clients and subcontractors, identify and pursue new project opportunities, and ensure timely follow-up on all project commitments.

Interface with regulatory bodies and participate in public forums as needed to support project approvals.

Lead implementation of project-specific documentation, including Execution Plans, Safety Plans, and QA/QC protocols.

Work with engineers, managers, and team leads to develop and maintain project budgets, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring successful project delivery.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (with a structural focus), Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited university.

10+ years of experience managing engineering and construction projects focused on bridges and structural work.

Experience with mechanical, electrical, and control systems related to bridge rehabilitation or replacement; moveable bridge experience is a plus.

Prior leadership on heavy civil projects in the NYC area, with expertise in cost reporting, RFIs, CPM scheduling, submittals, T&M billing, and managing change orders.

Strong client-facing and project leadership skills, with a proactive, hands-on approach.

Deep understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and industry standards.

OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with Procore, MS Project, and Primavera P6 is highly desirable.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with strong organizational and decision-making skills.
