Robotics Project Lead

About the Role

We are seeking a Robotics Project Lead to oversee the successful delivery of automation and robotics projects. In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams and ensure adherence to project management standards throughout the project life cycle. Additionally, you will manage resources, schedules, and finances to ensure project success.

As the Robotics Project Lead, you will be responsible for managing actions, issues, risks, and change requests to guarantee on-time project delivery. You will also be involved in purchasing and production activities as required by project demands. In addition, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers and collaborate with third-party vendors when necessary.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with engineering and management teams to develop Project Launch materials.
  • Manage and report on project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and risks.
  • Maintain critical project documents, such as the Action Register and procurement/accounting records.
  • Communicate with customers and ensure efficient project workflow.
  • Identify and manage scope deviations, costs, and change order protocols.
  • Supervise and coordinate the status of deliverables from staff engineers.
  • Assist with sales calls, project proposals, and quotes.
  • Provide regular project status reports to company leadership.
  • Control project costs and administer contracts.
  • Source and collaborate with third-party contractors for installation deadlines and additional capacities.
  • Develop standard operating procedures with the management team.
  • Aid in project design, testing, and installation.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety procedures and regulations.
  • Travel within a 400-mile radius up to 15% of the time.


  • BA/BS degree in a related field from an accredited university, or an associate degree in a related technical field from an accredited college, PLUS three years of project management experience.
  • At least three years of experience in technical project management.
  • High level of technical proficiency and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Familiarity with automation equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in CAD Tools.
  • Experience in custom automation/machine building.
  • Experience with robotic systems.
  • Familiarity with industry standards UL and CE.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) license.
  • Knowledge of ERP and Project Management software.
