We are currently in need of a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team. As the Purchasing Manager, your responsibilities will include overseeing all aspects of the procurement process, such as managing vendors, negotiating contracts, and implementing supply chain strategies. Your role will play a vital part in ensuring that our organization has the necessary resources and materials to operate efficiently.


  • Develop and implement effective procurement policies and strategies
  • Evaluate and assess potential suppliers and vendors
  • Negotiate contracts and terms to secure favorable pricing and conditions
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with other departments for demand forecasting
  • Coordinate timely delivery of goods
  • Oversee the procurement process, from sourcing to issuing purchase orders
  • Evaluate supplier performance and address any concerns or issues
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement


  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar capacity
  • Extensive knowledge of vendor management, supply chain management, and logistics
  • Adept in using procurement systems and software
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a successful track record in contract negotiations
  • Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems preferred
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree is desirable
  • Minimum of 10 years of purchasing experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in a discrete environment
  • Able to understand and interpret manufacturing drawings
  • Capable of handling multiple projects concurrently
  • Skilled in creating and fostering a team environment
  • Effective communication and collaboration with various departments, including engineering, sales, finance, and plant operations
  • Familiarity with MRP and ERP systems, preferably Dynamics GP
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing background is beneficial
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Inventory management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and reasoning abilities
