QA Manager

Our company is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to establish and oversee the comprehensive Quality Assurance Program at our facility. With a focus on manufacturing agricultural and industrial equipment, we are a well-established organization in the industry.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, and coordinate the assigned Quality Assurance Technicians or other team members assigned to the quality assurance team, most of whom are on the first shift with one person on the second shift.
  • Provide training to employees on various quality control techniques.
  • Lead and facilitate department and process improvement teams utilizing lean enterprise techniques for continuous improvement efforts.
  • Manage and drive quality measurement and improvement activities to ensure compliance with the company's and customer's quality requirements for all products and programs.
  • Review engineering documentation and collaborate with Engineering to establish quality and reliability standards.
  • Analyze and summarize inspection data to identify areas for improvement in relation to quality standards, conducting root cause analysis for problem-solving when issues arise.
  • Collect material samples and conduct inspections to identify raw material and in-process product conditions.
  • Analyze and interpret production and inspection data to ensure conformity to specifications of finished products.
  • Maintain the product quality documentation system by regularly updating quality assurance procedures.
  • Collaborate with product service and warranty personnel to resolve manufacturing quality-related problems.
  • Advocate for quality concerns and ensure their resolution within the organization.
  • Develop and implement a supplier quality assurance program.

What We're Seeking:

  • Preferably, a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, although relevant experience will also be considered
  • At least 5 years of experience in a quality role, preferably within a similar manufacturing environment.
  • ASQ Certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in metal fabrication, strong QA methodology skills, and the ability to identify root causes of problems.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
