QC Lab Supervisor

  • Responsible for overseeing the daily supervision of personnel in the QC laboratory.
  • Possesses a strong knowledge of analytical instrumentation, including HPLC, GC, ICP-MS & ICP-OES.
  • Ensures the timely processing of samples and results to support Manufacturing.
  • Stays up-to-date on publications from USP, FDA, and other governing bodies to ensure compliance with analytical applications, release specifications, and documentation practices.
  • Assists with compliance audits and develops strategies for addressing audit findings.
  • Participates in the review of sourcing, material, and finished product specifications.
  • Provides support to laboratory personnel in resolving Out-of-Specification and Out-of-Trend results through scientifically sound re-sampling or retesting procedures.
  • Reviews and approves OOS/OOT reports, Certificates of Analysis, and other laboratory reports.
  • Ensures laboratory personnel adhere to safety regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal.
  • Undergoes annual training and collaborates with the Safety department to address laboratory hazards.
  • Oversees stability and release testing on raw materials and finished products.
  • Ensures compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and test methods.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation of procedures and records.
  • Promotes a safe working environment and ensures proper calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.
  • Collaborates effectively with other departments and works well in a team environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a supervisory or team leadership role, with at least three years of laboratory experience in a cGMP facility.
  • Proficient in the operation of laboratory instrumentation, troubleshooting, and SOP generation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with individuals at all levels.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related science field.
