Job Title: Quality Control Supervisor

Job Location: Knoxville, TN

Responsibilities:

• Report directly to the Plant Quality Manager and provide leadership and support for food safety, regulatory compliance, SQF, new product development, and raw material trials.
• Offer direct assistance to the Operations Area Manager group and Quality Lab Technicians.
• Analyze quality data, conduct validation and verification activities, perform internal quality process audits, and actively participate in quality projects to achieve desired results.
• Continuously provide information, assistance, direction, guidance, and education on technical food science and quality matters.
• Collaborate effectively with the Area Manager business group and provide input to other business functions.
• Work in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment and cultivate positive relationships with all employee groups.
• Display willingness and flexibility to work various shifts as required.
• Demonstrate promotable behaviors to excel in the Quality Area Manager role.

Requirements:

• Hold a position of Quality Control Supervisor or a similar role.
• Possess a strong understanding of food safety, regulations, and quality control standards.
• Show experience in overseeing and supporting new product development and raw material trials.
• Have excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret quality data.
• Be proficient in conducting validation and verification activities.
• Exhibit expertise in internal quality process auditing.
• Hold a degree in food science or a related field.
• Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Prioritize teamwork and foster a collaborative work environment.
