MUST HAVES:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field

• At least 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering

• Hands-on proficiency with calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and Vision Systems

• Knowledge of ATS, SPC, FMEA

• Experience with APQP, PPAP, Capability Studies

• Blueprint reading and part measurement skills

• Prior experience in an automotive manufacturing environment strongly preferred

• 2+ years of supervisory experience over technical personnel

• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Access a plus)

What You’ll Do:

• Review design drawings, procedures, and procurement docs to ensure quality requirements are met

• Train manufacturing and quality teams on testing equipment like CMMs, digital hardness testers, surface testers, and more

• Assess testing equipment capabilities to ensure compliance with quality standards

• Develop inspection standards for raw materials and finished products throughout production

• Lead root cause analysis efforts in response to quality issues, customer complaints, or audit findings

• Drive continuous improvement projects and participate in Kaizen events

• Conduct capability studies (CPK) and maintain quality documentation databases

• Oversee product sorting and manage the return of defective components
