Location: New Hampton, IA

Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000

Job Summary: The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing all quality functions and ensuring the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive quality plan. This role involves leading the establishment and enforcement of standards, policies, procedures, and training initiatives that govern quality activities across the company.

Job Responsibilities:

· Develop, implement, and maintain a robust quality system.

· Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and maintain the quality system.

· Establish and communicate quality requirements with customers and suppliers.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers, addressing any quality issues promptly and effectively.

· Support the advanced product quality planning (APQP) process.

· Assist in the development and analysis of data-driven processes.

· Manage the customer return material authorization (RMA) process and implement improvements to reduce customer returns.

· Plan, organize, and conduct training programs related to product quality.

· Set KPIs and monitor quality performance metrics for the plant.

Education & Experience:

  • Preferably hold a bachelor's degree in Quality Sciences or Engineering. However, relevant work experience in a technical field will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership roles in Quality Management and Quality Engineering within a manufacturing setting.
  • Must have experience in quality-related functions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Preference given to candidates with metals or foundry experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in quality core tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, etc.
  • Experience in utilizing statistical quality methods.
  • Understanding of metrology and proficiency in the use of measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, hardness testers, x-ray machines, and CMMs.
  • Experience in conducting destructive and non-destructive tests on materials and parts to assess performance and characteristics.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and formulas.
  • Previous experience in leading ISO 9001 Quality Management System implementation.
  • Certification as ASQ Quality Engineer is advantageous.
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001, ITAR, AS9100, TS16942, and ISO 14981 quality systems.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Lean is desired.
