A well-known company with a strong reputation is seeking a talented Quality Supervisor for their facility in Avon, IN. This position is for the day shift, starting at approximately 6:00am. The company offers an attractive 401K and incentive plan for this role.

We are a major brand looking to expand our team to meet the demands of our nationwide customer base. As the Quality Supervisor, you will work directly with the Quality Manager at our manufacturing plant in Avon, IN. Your responsibilities will include providing guidance and technical assistance to our quality assurance technicians and associates. This role encompasses a wide range of tasks related to quality and safety, such as conducting audits, evaluating our HACCP program, delivering GMP training, addressing quality and safety concerns with operations personnel, inspecting incoming and returned products, managing customer complaints, implementing procedures, and assessing new equipment installations or repairs. In this position, you will supervise a team of approximately 6 direct reports.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead and oversee various quality assurance activities such as audits and training
• Provide technical training to our QA personnel
• Monitor and ensure compliance with our HACCP plan's CCPs
• Conduct GMP and food safety inspections throughout the facility
• Coordinate with production to ensure quality control on the packaging lines, including weight control, metal detection, labeling accuracy, and package integrity
• Verify that operational control systems are functional and followed correctly
• Review and handle product release, hold, and disposition; Assess damaged products
• Coordinate the resolution of customer complaints
• Review lab results to ensure completion and compliance with our programs

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, including previous experience in quality supervision
• Experience working with HACCP plans and a strong understanding of government regulations (FDA, USDA)
• Experience in any manufacturing industry will be considered, but preference will be given to candidates with experience in the food processing industry
