Position Summary
The Senior Manager of Regulatory Affairs is responsible for leading the company’s regulatory compliance and labeling functions, ensuring that all products meet applicable regulations, laws, and standards in every market they serve. This role demands deep regulatory expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will act as the in-house authority on food regulations, guiding the organization through complex compliance landscapes.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure all products comply with relevant laws and regulations across domestic and international markets.

Oversee the design and approval of labeling and packaging graphics, ensuring alignment with legal standards, brand guidelines, and consistency across product lines.

Manage the setup and approval processes for ingredients, formulations, and labeling specifications within the company's formula management system (DevEx).

Provide regulatory guidance to internal teams (R&D, Marketing, Quality) for new product development and updates to existing products.

Identify, assess, and resolve regulatory issues related to food labeling and claims.

Represent the company in external trade associations and professional organizations, actively monitoring and influencing regulatory and legislative developments impacting the industry.

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing regulatory affairs and labeling team, ensuring operational excellence and full compliance.

Stay abreast of evolving global regulations, guidelines, and industry trends, and proactively advise senior management to support business strategy.

Foster a culture of safety by maintaining a safe work environment and holding all team members accountable for safety compliance.
Food Safety Responsibilities

Responsible for the accuracy of label content, including proper allergen declaration.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly manage team members within the Research and Development Department.

Fulfill full-cycle management duties, including hiring, training, setting goals, evaluating performance, and addressing employee relations in line with company policies and applicable laws.
Required Qualifications
-
Proven experience in developing packaging artwork and ensuring compliance with Nutrition Facts Panel (NFP) content, claims, and food labeling regulations.

In-depth knowledge of FDA food labeling requirements; familiarity with international regulations is highly desirable.

Strategic thinker with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, formula management systems (e.g., DevEx), and automation tools.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and lead cross-functional teams to successful outcomes.

Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to continuous learning regarding regulatory changes and industry developments.

Comfortable engaging with all levels of management and external stakeholders.
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Nutrition, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

7–10 years of experience in regulatory affairs within the food industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
