We are offering a sign-on bonus of $30,000, payable in a lump sum after 90 days. This is a permanent position with a 2-year commitment in order to receive the bonus. Who wouldn't want an extra 30k, right? LOL! You have the flexibility to choose your start time, anywhere from 7am to 9:30am. The hourly rate ranges from $28 to $35, depending on experience. As an X-ray Tech, you will be expected to cover all aspects of the position, including operating room (OR), emergency room (ER), house portables, routine exams, pain management, and fluoroscopy procedures.

Radiology Technologist Job Description:

  1. Takes radiographs as per physician orders, aiming for a repeat rate of less than 5%. Follows the procedure outlined in the routine book and ensures all requests contain relevant patient history.
  2. Demonstrates versatility within the diagnostic department of Radiology by independently working in routine room, IVP, fluoroscopy, portable (c-arm and routine radiograph), and GU. Can perform all exams listed in the routine book.
  3. Prioritizes patient and employee safety by using diagnostic technical factors that minimize unnecessary radiation exposure. Ensures the use of shielding on patients, whenever possible, without compromising the exam's purpose. Coning and lead orientation markers are always present on all films.
  4. Familiarity with front desk operations and computer systems. Reports any equipment problems to the manager and Clinical Engineers. Capable of scheduling exams department-wide, using the centralized transport program for patient transportation, looking up pertinent information in the computer systems, and effectively communicating with other departments. Alerts managers to equipment problems and communicates with co-workers through written or verbal messages.
  5. Performs other assigned duties as needed, such as assisting Radiologic Technologist Students, conducting equipment quality assurance, ensuring regulatory compliance, ordering supplies, scheduling staff, and participating in hospital and departmental audits.
  6. Additional responsibilities include accessing patient records for medical imaging purposes. Access is limited to records relevant to patient care or regulatory requirements and is only done when necessary as part of the imaging team. Confidentiality and record protection are the individual's responsibility. Access occurs pre, during, and post-procedures, as well as to conduct QA processes, retrospective reviews, and respond to inquiries from patients, other departments, or physicians' offices.
