Position Overview
As a Radiologic Technologist, you will work closely with the Radiology Administrator and/or their designee. Your responsibilities will include performing routine and specialized imaging procedures, preparing patients for exams, assisting radiologists when required, operating and maintaining equipment, and processing film/CDs. It will be crucial for you to adhere to established radiology standards and principles of radiation protection to minimize patient and personnel exposure. Additionally, you will assume responsibility for assigned duties and maintain a strong focus on customer service. Quality assurance will also form part of your role. You will exercise professional judgment in performing diagnostic and specialized procedure medical radiographic imaging.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to the Company Performance Standards, Policies, and Behaviors.
2. Properly position and prepare patients for specific examinations, ensuring accurate documentation of images and required body part questionnaires.
3. Produce technical images, review completed exams for quality and completeness based on test orders.
4. Provide assistance to physicians during practice-based procedures.
5. Perform equipment quality assurance and calibrations, as well as supply ordering.
6. Be available for holiday, overtime, and shift coverage, as required, to maintain adequate and safe facility operations.
7. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and accessories, promptly reporting any malfunctions.
8. Process images and print CDs when necessary.
9. Perform routine office tasks, such as answering phones, checking-in patients, and obtaining previous reports/films.
10. Present films to radiologists and communicate reports to attending physicians, if required (wet readings).
11. Provide clinical instructions to students.
12. Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy towards all individuals/staff, upholding the Company's behavioral standards.
13. Introduce and educate patients and their families about ordered examinations.
14. Deliver care based on the age, physical, and psychosocial needs of different patient populations.
15. Attend staff meetings, participate in in-services, and perform other related duties as required.

Education & Experience Requirements
ï‚· Graduation from an accredited radiography program or hospital-based program, with a focus on allied health education. NY State DOH Licensure or Limited Permit is required. ARRT registered (RT) and radiograph (R) certifications are necessary.
ï‚· Maintain continuing education requirements to meet the standards set by governing bodies. Present standards entail completing 24 ECE credits over a two-year period, depending on birth year.
ï‚· Completion of DOH IV certification or a 6-month orientation is preferred.
ï‚· Obtain BLS certification through the (AHA) American Heart Association or within 90 days of hire.
ï‚· Fulfill radiation dose pledge for both Image Gently and Image Wisely through the American College of Radiology (ACR) during orientation and before the end of the probationary period.
