AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Research and Development Engineer to join our client's team in Los Angeles, CA. Reporting to the Director of R&D Engineering on the dynamic R&D Engineering team, the successful candidate will play a key role in the development, testing, and implementation of cutting-edge wireless communication and sensing projects and products. This is a full-time position with a hybrid schedule, requiring a minimum of 3 days onsite per week. On-site work days are: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Below are some of the essential responsibilities associated with this role. Please note that additional duties may be assigned or reassigned by management as and when required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and create testbenches for comprehensive HDL simulations of full-systems.
• Enhance and maintain existing HDL testing infrastructure to improve efficiency.
• Automate specific testing procedures using scripting languages.
• Gather, manage, and analyze code coverage data from various test suites.
• Develop and code HDL blocks to support project requirements.
• Verify and troubleshoot hardware, utilizing logic analyzers and similar tools.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field with at least 4 years of demonstrated experience in FPGA design and testing/verification; alternatively, 2 years of FPGA experience in design and testing/verification with a master's or advanced degree.
• Proven track record working on complex FPGA designs with multiple clock domains and high utilization.
• Hands-on experience with Xilinx FPGAs, SoCs, and the Vivado IDE.
• Familiarity with tcl or python languages.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE).
• Proven expertise in fixed point binary arithmetic and digital signal processing designs.
• Basic knowledge of MATLAB.
• Experience working on communication systems using FPGA or ASIC designs.

COMPENSATION

Please note that the provided pay range is a general estimate and may vary depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Expected Pay Range

$100,000—$130,000 USD
