Refrigeration Technician, Twin Falls, ID (area)

Responsibilities:

As a Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various refrigeration equipment, including ammonia refrigeration equipment, process freezers, cold storages, air compressors, and boilers, as well as all support equipment.

You will also assist the maintenance department with emergency situations and assigned tasks under the guidance of your supervisor.

Key Duties:

1. Support production staff in operating and maintaining refrigeration equipment, boilers, air compressors, and auxiliary equipment.

2. Identify and resolve issues with refrigeration equipment through troubleshooting and diagnosis.

3. Participate in the Process Safety Management program, training, safety activities, and administration.

4. Attend ongoing education and safety training to enhance skills and knowledge.

5. Contribute to the Emergency response plan as required.

6. Perform duties in extreme conditions of heat and cold.

7. Safely handle lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 lbs. for job requirements.

8. Maintain strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

9. Work independently with minimal supervision while being efficient and effective.

10.Participate in regular progress review meetings with your supervisor.

11.Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1 year of preferred previous experience.

Training

As a Refrigeration Technician, you will receive thorough training, including shadowing experienced technicians, hands-on operations and safety training, monthly general safety training, and compliance with the Process Safety Management program requirements.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in technical training provided by the company, such as GCPA (Garden City Ammonia Program), RETA (Refrigeration Engineers and Technicians Association), annual HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response), and other relevant programs as recommended by the Refrigeration Manager.
