Regional and National Account Sales Manager – Rigid & Flexible Packaging (Food & Beverage CPGs)
Job Summary
The Regional and National Account Sales Manager will lead efforts to drive revenue growth, build strategic customer relationships, and expand market presence within the rigid and flexible packaging sector. This individual will be instrumental in developing new business, managing key accounts, and providing leadership across the sales function. The ideal candidate has deep experience in packaging sales and a successful track record working with major food and beverage CPGs.
Sales & Business Development

Develop and implement a strategic national sales plan to meet or exceed revenue and profitability goals

Identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities in the rigid and flexible packaging markets

Cultivate long-term relationships with clients, distributors, and key industry stakeholders

Monitor industry trends, customer demands, and market dynamics to inform strategy

Represent the company at major trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote brand visibility and generate leads
Account & Relationship Management

Manage and grow relationships with high-value national and regional accounts

Serve as a consultative partner, offering technical guidance and tailored packaging solutions

Lead negotiations for pricing, contracts, and service agreements to ensure mutual value and long-term partnerships

Drive high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive, solutions-oriented account management
Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (MBA preferred)

Experience:
-
7+ years in sales within rigid and/or flexible packaging
-
Minimum of 3 years in a sales leadership or national account management role

Strong understanding of packaging materials, manufacturing methods, and current industry trends

Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

Willingness to travel as needed, up to 50% depending on territory coverage
