Regional EHS Leader

Only candidates in the Los Angeles area will be considered.

This role is responsible for overseeing the EHS program at (4) facilities in Los Angeles, providing strategic direction. The position reports to the Director of Production and also maintains a strong relationship with the EHS Director based in Texas. Candidates should have a diverse background in safety and environmental practices. Local travel, up to 75%, is required and will be provided with a company vehicle. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in plant-based EHS with a Bachelor's degree is required.

· Develop and implement the organization's training program for environmental, health, and safety to ensure the well-being of employees and surrounding communities.

· This includes onboarding, job-specific training, and ongoing training to ensure compliance with all relevant EHS policies, procedures, and regulations.

· Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding environmental, industrial hygiene, safety, and health.

· Promptly respond to, investigate, and document all incidents related to EHS.

· Collect, analyze, and document environmental samples from all facilities to ensure compliance with regulations.

· Conduct and report on recordkeeping requirements for facility permits and other environmental regulatory reporting, such as stormwater sampling and visible emissions observations.

· Maintain and organize detailed records to ensure compliance with permit requirements.

· Foster strong working relationships to support the implementation of environmental, health, and safety initiatives.
