Regional Production Operations Manager

Our client is a highly reputable and expanding manufacturer specializing in metal, fiberglass, and wood components. They are currently seeking a skilled Regional Production Operations Manager to oversee operations at two plants located in Memphis, TN and approximately one hour away in MS. In this position, you will be responsible for managing two Plant Managers, implementing SAP, and leveraging your expertise in inventory planning and control, as well as your strong background in manufacturing.
 
Job Summary:
The Regional Production Operations Manager will play a critical role in optimizing production operations across Tennessee and MS. This position involves overseeing multiple manufacturing facilities, ensuring operational efficiency, meeting production targets, and driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a strong track record in manufacturing operations and supply chain management.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute regional production plans and strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Supervise daily operations at multiple manufacturing facilities within the region.
  • Manage production schedules, staffing, and equipment utilization to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Analyze production performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and develop regional production teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and supply chain.
  • Oversee regional budgets and control expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing operations management.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple production facilities.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
  • Proficiency in production planning and scheduling software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Background in SAP and strong expertise in inventory management and planning.
