Ideally based in Charlotte, NC or Ft. Mill, SC servicing the I-77 Corridor
Area of Coverage – South Carolina, Western North Carolina, Western Virginia, Eastern Tennessee and West Virginia
1st year compensation: $90,000 - $125,000 (salary), then switch to salary + commission after completion of the first year.
Our client is a reputable American organization specializing in providing industrial processing solutions to design, build, and commission bulk-processing systems.
The Regional Sales Engineer offers in-plant consultancy services to customers and proactively identifies sales opportunities. This role reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base within the assigned region.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including lead generation, prospecting, and successfully closing sales.
Establish and nurture strong, enduring customer relationships by collaborating closely with them and gaining a deep understanding of their requirements.
Provide customers with technical support and expertise, including delivering product presentations, conducting demonstrations, and offering consultations.
Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to ensure that customer specifications are met.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts to potential customers.
Keep abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
Participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry events to network with potential clients.
Maintain an up-to-date CRM system by adding new accounts and contacts, recording project notes, and projecting sales pipeline.
Report on sales activities, progress, and market conditions to the Director of Sales & Marketing and other relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
BS in Engineering (open to candidates without a degree but possess relevant experience)
Experience in pneumatic conveying and dust collection systems
Previous sales experience and/or in-plant exposure
Proficient computer skills with knowledge of CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) and/or AutoCAD.
Ability to understand customer needs and provide effective solutions.
Willingness to travel for approximately 12 days per month, with the majority involving overnight travel.
